Ron Ackland joined CAMS in September 2023 after returning to Sacramento, his hometown, following many years in Los Angeles. Currently serving as Office Administrator, Ron engages with various association memberships, bringing over 15 years of experience in project management and legal secretarial work. Ron holds a Legal Secretaries Training Program certification from UCLA Extension and has extensive experience in office administration, document management, and client relations. His career also includes non-profit management, having served as General Manager of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and Director of Theatre Operations at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA.
An active member of Legal Professionals Incorporated (LPI), Ron is the Editor-in-Chief of The Legal Professional® magazine and holds the position of Treasurer of the Sacramento Legal Professionals Association. He has also served as LPI Advertising Chair and LPI Social Media Chair. He was honored with the LPI President’s Rising Star Award in 2022.
In his free time, Ron enjoys spending time with his family’s pets, including Lilah, a Great Pyrenees, and three Maine Coon cats, Rocky, Rosie, and Chloe. A train travel enthusiast, he aspires to journey across the United States by rail.
