Association Management

Executive Management Services

  • Maintain a complete understanding of the purpose, vision and mission of the association.
  • Be responsible for implementing the decisions of the Board of Directors.
  • Support all standing committees, task forces, and ad-hoc committees as directed by the association President.
  • Provide leadership, management and visionary direction.
  • Be knowledgeable of the profession of the membership base and their day-to-day practices to satisfy the needs of the members and the goals and objectives of the association.
  • Provide day-to-day management of operations and staff.
  • Provide staff support and maintain liaison relationship with the leadership to develop and implement association programs, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain timely communication at all levels.
  • Assist in the development of both short and long range goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership training; board orientation and governance programs; assist with strategic planning sessions.
  • Assure compliance with governing documents (e.g., Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, Standing Rules, Manual of Operations, Policy Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices, Handbooks, Insurance, etc.).
  • Maintain corporate filings and serve as agent for service of process.
  • Assist the board/committee with nomination procedures in accordance with the governing documents.
  • Review, update and provide recommendations, if necessary, of operating budgets and governing documents.
  • Obtain necessary advice relating to legal, legislative and tax issues.
  • Negotiate contracts and prepare for legal review.
  • Support and assist in the formulation and execution of policies as established by the Officers, Board of Directors, and Committees.
  • Provide direction in the area of regional/chapter relations, if applicable.
  • Coordinate and maintain membership benefit programs and affinity agreements.
  • Ensure membership development (retention and recruitment) programs are utilized and maintained at all levels.
  • Manage relations with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Manage continuing education programs, i.e., MCLE, DOI.
  • Maintain relations with allied industries, regional and national associations.
  • Maintain relations with the members; direct member outreach.
  • Prepare articles and content material for publications/Website as needed.
  • Organize and assist in the development of annual reports.
  • Board and committee coordination, including formulation and dissemination of agenda packets, minutes, reports, and notices.
  • Prepare and distribute management reports on a consistent basis.
  • Adequately staff board meetings and take minutes as needed.
  • Attend educational conferences and any other meetings as needed.
  • Maintain resource library of pertinent industry information.
