Michael Belote President, has over years experience in representing a variety of clients before the Legislature and state regulators. Before joining California Advocates, Mike worked as a legislative advocate for the California Society of Certified Public Accountants followed by the California Association of Realtors. He has also served as Vice President and Legislative Counsel for the California Land Title Association.
Mike's activities in the legislative process have spanned a broad array of issues, including financial services, real estate, health care, the judiciary, and transportation. Capitol Weekly has named him one of the Top 100 in California politics.

Dennis Albiani Vice President, has over years experience in advocacy and public policy. He was most recently the Deputy Legislative Secretary for Resources, Energy, Food and Agriculture and Cal EPA for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Previously, he served in the Davis administration as the appointed Deputy Secretary at California Department of Food and Agriculture. His legislative experience includes a position as consultant to the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Water Resources for then state Senator, now Congressman Costa and as Government Affairs Counsel for the Agricultural Council of California. He has extensive business experience in livestock production, real estate and land use. Dennis is a member of the California State Bar and graduated from McGeorge School of Law with distinction.
Dennis has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business and minor in Water Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he was recognized as an outstanding graduate from the College of Agriculture. Dennis was a fellow in the prestigious California Agricultural Leadership Program and a graduate from the Dale Carnegie Institute. Dennis' wife Beth is a teacher and they have four children, Nicolas and triplet girls, Sophia, Isabella and Samantha.

Lexi Purich Howard joined California Advocates in 2011, and has experience in advocacy and public policy before the California State Legislature and state agencies, representing a variety of clients with emphasis in real estate related matters, the judiciary, and other trade association and corporate interests. From 1985 until 2011 Lexi worked for a national title insurance and financial services firm and is considered a subject matter expert in title insurance, escrow/settlement, commercial and industrial sale, purchase, and financing; multi-parcel land trust and conservation easement transactions; and residential and personal property transfers.
Lexi is a member of the State Bar of California, and a graduate of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, Lexi received the school's Outstanding Student Service Award, served as President of the McGeorge Government Affairs Student Association, and as Board member for the McGeorge Lambda Law Students Association and the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Lexi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA. Lexi resides in Sacramento.

Faith Lane has years of experience as a Legislative staffer. She most recently served as Legislative Director for Assembly Member Catharine Baker. During her tenure in that position, she sent many bills to the Governor’s desk, including bills on employment development, health care, transparency of government bodies, transportation, business and professions, and privacy, all of which were signed into law.
Prior to her position in the Assembly, Faith worked for two senators, Senator Ted Gaines and Senator Anthony Cannella. With experience serving for years in both houses of the Legislature, she is a policy and strategy expert.
Faith earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She focuses on the firm’s insurance, public entity liability, employment, special district and JPA governance, budget, and workforce development clients.

John O'Malley Born in Burbank, California, John O'Malley, a second generation California lobbyist, graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 1969 and later attended law school at Southwestern University in Los Angeles. In 1972, John joined O'Malley & Associates where he worked on local and state issues for the firm's clients. He joined PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines) in 1975, where he served as Assistant to the Chairman and Vice President of Government Affairs until 1987 when the airline was acquired by USAir. During that time, he represented PSA's interests on a federal, state and local level. In January of 1988, John joined O'Malley & Associates as a full partner and served as President and CEO of that firm until the merger of his firm with Joseph L. Lang & Associates to form Lang, Hansen, O'Malley & Miller.
In September of 2012, Lang, Hansen, O'Malley & Miller entered into a strategic alliance with the lobbying firm of California Advocates. As part of this change, John joined California Advocates, where he concentrates his efforts on serving the government/public affairs needs of clients of mutual interest to the two firms.

Erinn Ryberg joined California Advocates in 2018 and brings with her years of experience working in Sacramento's legislative and political spheres. She most recently served as Legislative Director to Assembly Member Cristina Garcia and before that worked in the same role for Assembly Member Matt Dababneh. For both members she handled judiciary, electronic transactions, banking, insurance, employment, and taxation issues.
During law school, Erinn worked for the Fair Political Practices Commission and the Federal Election Commission in the legal and policy divisions respectively. Additionally, she spent a summer in Italy teaching American Property Law to Italian lawyers seeking continuing education credits.
Erinn is a member of the State Bar of California, and a graduate of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where along with a Juris Doctorate Degree, she received a concentration certificate in Capitol Law and Public Policy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Minor in Communication from San Diego State University.

Ralph Simoni is the former President of California Advocates and now serves as a consultant to the firm. He has years experience as a legislative advocate in a variety of different capacities and subject matter areas. Before joining California Advocates in 1983, he served as Assistant Director-Government Affairs for the California State University and Colleges, Vice President/Legislative Counsel for the California Land Title Association and Chief Legislative Advocate for the State Bar of California.
In recent years, Ralph has developed expertise in complex resource and recycling issues, as well as Proposition 65 legal matters. On behalf of the plastics industry, soft drink industry, and the household battery industry, he has participated extensively in legislative and regulatory issues involving recycled content requirements, consumer refund programs, land siting limitations, and environmental issues such as groundwater treatment and solid waste streams.
Mr. Simoni is a graduate of San Francisco State University and the University of California at Davis, Martin Luther King Jr. School of Law. He is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in California.
